Anasuya was not the first choice for the role of Mangammatha

Anasuya Bharadwaj was apparently not the first choice for her role of Rangammattha in Sukumar’s period-drama . Speaking Sukumar said that he had considered many actresses for the role but things just did not work out. As the role required someone who was glamorous as well and with time running out, his unit suggested the name of Anasuya. However, Sukumar was sceptical although he did approach her.But, after taking her audition in which he shot for a day with her, he came to the conclusion that she was the best choice for the role. Sukumar exuded confidence that Rangasthalam will bring a very good name to Anasuya as she had done a fabulous job in the film.
Starring Ram Charan, Samantha and Adhi Pinisetty in the lead, Rangasthalam is produced by Mytrhri movies and has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
